FCC Emergency Communications Tips

To prepare for telecom outages, create an emergency communications plan.

#1. Check important cell phone contacts and note local non-emergency        numbers.

#2. Store at least one contact as "in case of emergency" and make sure that person knows if you have medical issues.

#3. Make sure everyone in your house knows how to text.

#4. Check back-up batteries for all hones and fully charge cell phones and rechargers.

#5. Sign up to receive mobile alerts.

For emergency situations have important information such as phone numbers, policy numbers, etc. written down and stored in a safe place.  Download My Pocket Plan to keep on hand.
